I worked at Boeing full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Boeing has good benefits and retirement

    Cons

Everything else at Boeing was awful: the work, the people, the managers, the culture and environment. The performance reviews are a joke. Make sure you are a managers favorite if you want to get anywhere in this company.

I have been working at Boeing full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Lots of oppty for continued professional growth, good compensation, and collaborating on latest commercial products.

    Cons

Management gets no overtime pay, but still reqs 9-10hrs per day to do the job. The bonus compensation is supposed to compensate...but it is not a guarantee, and can get you an addt'l 10% at years end. Good benefits. Big company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't cost cut engineering and relocate engineering functions away from the factory...timely engineering responses to production issues and improved system designs will suffer.
