I have been working at Boise State University full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

The company provides a fee waiver for college classes to yourself and your dependents. This can provide future advancement opportunities. Networking is essential in the university and a lot of times your employment is more of a who you know over what you know. If they think you are the right fit they will train you on the flesh of the job.

    Cons

The classes offered will not always work out with your job hours and it may take quite awhile to earn that degree or certificate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be upfront with the candidates about whether they will be able to complete their degree, off duty, while in this position.
