I worked at Boise State University as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

The employees at COBE are great to work with. They provide you with the information to do your job, and then allow you to do the job independently, giving you confidence in yourself.

    Cons

May be hard to find a full time position as everyone seems to have been there a long time. However, that isn't much of a con to me; seems to be the sign of a good employer.

I have been working at Boise State University full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Plenty of support from peers provides ability to take risks and grow. Work is appreciated if one is motivated and driven. Nice place to live in. Cost of living is low and housing is very much affordable.

    Cons

The University is growing to become a regional Research University of distinction, but will take time to reach Research One status. Not always the best students you can hope for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work. Some of the staff need to move fast to support critical faculty projects.
