If you aim to grow, you need new words to your vocabulary: politics and fawning.

Former Employee - Customer Care  in  Amsterdam (Netherlands)
Former Employee - Customer Care in Amsterdam (Netherlands)

Pros

The friends you eventually will make.
The money you will work for.
The parties you will enjoy.

Cons

One of the managers harassed me - twice! - because I spoke my mind about their incorrect and abusive work conditions. Reason why I left. Other employees saw her doing that, and I imagine Darren Huston has no idea about what happens in the NW office.

Booking.com resumes itself into politics, fawning, insincerity, evasion, superficiality. If you aim to grow in there, you'll have to match those words in your vocabulary.

    Pros

constantly changing and challenging environment.Innovative ideas and work ethics. Very easy to share new ideas. Constant training and plenty of room for self-improvement.A great place to work!

    Cons

Constant changes can become a reason to stress. One of the company's basic principle is scalability, when not all things are suitable for all parts of the world.Booking.com salaries are average, while expectations for employees are to the roof!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Booking.com really needs to pay attention to their hotel partners more, and not focus constantly on the customers. The danger of loosing the trust of the partners is something that all employees should have in their minds constantly. Also Booking.com needs to pay their employees better, in order to attract and maintain the best of the best in the market .
