I worked under a manager who made it very difficult to get work done; she's gone now.

Bookseller (Former Employee)
Hanover, MD

Pros-Get to work with books
-Get to Recommend your favorites
-Work with people who have a mind for Literary discussion
-Learn and discover new feature and new books

Cons-Very corporate heavy
-Bad management experiences
-Reshelving can take a long time until you know what you're searching for
-The retail environment can be difficult

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease monitor your store managers and what they're actually accomplishing. Also, care more about your employees. It was very difficult to get in touch with upper management that didn't seem to care about your existence.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
