Pros

You see career growth and always continuing education, always a new challenge. Working for the company one is always aware of new developments in the profession

Cons

The concentration is on targets, ie the numbers , not how they are achieved. Not a family atmosphere people always competing to get to targets.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

support staff more , encourage new ideas, avoid cookie cutter expectations.

Former Employee - Pharmacist Store Manager in Liverpool, England (UK)

I worked at Boots part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent staff discounts. Absolutely wonderful staff who deserve far better treatment.

    Cons

Long hours, difficulty getting any meal breaks, exploitative staff treatment and disgracefully low remuneration. If you are prepared to submissively do as your ordered you will probably be OK.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reinstate pharmacists as highly trained professionals. Get rid of the climate of fear which stalks the company and look after your staff, they are far better than you deserve.
