Borders Customer Service in Cleveland, OH:   (Past Employee - 2009)

Pros

Good place to work with a fun and learning environment. Borders treats their employees with respect and gives them a reason to want to be employed by Borders. If you enjoy reading and being around people who enjoy reading and other forms of entertainment, it is a perfect place to be employed at. Corporate treats the lower level employees with respect, although they do not always let these employees know what is going on in the company above, but overall a very great place to work.

Cons

In todays day and age in store sales of books, movies, and music are down which make it difficult to be successful. Corporate is struggling to keep the business moving right now and that makes it difficult for any kind of moving up the corporate latter.

Advice to Senior Management

Keep treating your employees well, but start giving them more information about what is going on above them.
