Borders offers a great environment in which to work. The other employees are knowledgeable and work well together as a team.

Cons

Borders, like many other retailers, is struggling in this economy and all of that stress has trickled down. Te environment has begun to shift from laid back to intense. Engaging customers is Borders number one priority, which its great and sets the store apart, but goals and quotas have made it a little stressful.

Advice to Senior Management

Keep customers the number one priority, but make sure to keep the environment low pressure and engaging rather than an overbearing experience for the customers.
