Borland Software – “well-know name but has been having a lot of issues”

Pros

Borland was a well-known name. Majority of the development community knows Turbo C and C++Builder from Borland.
Possessed a lot of cool software.

Cons

company's direction was not clear
too many product lines
performance review was not useful
sometimes employees were not treated respectfully.

Advice to Senior Management

instead of going big, it should have been going small. going big meant no real focus in the company. the ALM implementation did not seem very realistic.
