    Pros

Boston College - come on, they're kind of a big deal
Most faculty and staff are not only phenomenally smart, they really do want students to succeed

    Cons

If you're working at the college, you'll only make $10/hr as a tutor
Graduate fellowships do cover part of tuition, but you'll still need to take out a ton of student loans
It is graduate school, you'll have to work your tail off every semester if you want to succeed

Former Employee - Postdoctoral Research Associate in Boston, MA

I worked at Boston College full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Did not get to interact with the administration much. Worked in a research lab, mostly dealt with the department. HR seemed reasonable and helpful. Good benefits.

    Cons

As with any academic job, summer is the nicest season since the students are gone. Working at a Catholic school comes with some agenda, so people who don't want to deal with the religious aspect might find it pushed on them every once in a while.
