I have been working at Boston Market part-time (less than a year)

Pros

meet new friendly people.
50% off food

Cons

-the amount of work for the amount of pay is ridiculous, I can see why they need more utilities.
-did not recieve proper training
-got yelled at and definitely felt unappreciated
-They say you can leave an hour-30 minutes early if you finish everything
-i bust my ass washing dishes for 6 hours everyday I worked and stayed for 30 minutes to almost hour everyday
-manager barely speaks english
-I was forced to work with pink eye
-Washing dishes for 6-7 hours a day with no breaks.
-I get crictized, yelled at for things I did not know about because I did not recieve proper training.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire a better GM! and Hiring manager! I knew I was going to be unappreciated when the hiring manager talked on her phone during the intervew for 30 minutes !

    As an hourly manager, there should be a better appreciation for hourly manager's responsibilities and versatility.

    Pros

    There should be something said about having the the top tiered management feel they can rely upon the lowest ranking management. From the General Manager to the Assistant Manager, there has always been a sense of an open environment where seemingly all management have the same responsibility and a responsibility to one another.

    Cons

    The responsibility put upon the hourly management is not taken lightly, however eventually there becomes an obvious dependency on lower management and subsequently leading to a very frequent sense of being over worked; additionally, there is a lack of acknowledgement for the work done from upper management, the rate of pay-increase does not equal the work and extra duties assigned, and finally, there is a constant

    Pros

    great training and generally a very very thought out concept.
    among the best QSR food around

    Cons

    bonus plan was profit-over-expense and store assignments greatly affected income potential. Every GM does the same work but one gets 'lucky' with a big store and another gets a low-volume bonus may be non-existent. Other brands unify bonus potential as % of salary id #s are made.
