A fast paced environment which caused high stress due to management.

Pros

Boston Market is a great place to work if you enjoy customer service and working at a high paced and at times doing nothing. It was good because there would be waves of customers and then all of the sudden there would be no one.

Cons

Most of the time there was nothing to do and either there were too many people working at one time or not enough.

Advice to Management

Needs more structure and reliability with the managers. More training in customer service and prioritizing would be helpful.

  1. A depressing, mundane, careless company to work for.

    I worked at Boston Market

    Pros

Some of the other workers are friendly, even management can be nice sometimes. Nothing else positive about this experience, however.

    Cons

Company simple could not care about employees. My manager used to go back into the time clock and shave off hours to save money due to strict hour limits set by regional management.

  2. Boston Market is an OK place to work but not long term

    Pros

Easy concept to learn. Hours of operation also very good.

    Cons

Constantly changing simple menu recipes. Very little help with recruiting and marketing business. Catering system is not very helpful.

    Advice to Management

Stop the VIP program as it only drives customers you already have and the offers are usually weak. Spend a bit more on National advertising and not just big market because a lot of customers do not realize what you sell or that you exist at all.
