Boston Scientific Regulatory Affairs Specialist II in Maple Grove, MN:   (Current Employee)

Pros

Working on projects at the forefront of the industry provides great learning opportunities and a great way to gain experience. The benefits are good and above average for the industry and there is flexibility with work schedule and taking vacation time. Global interaction and occasional opportunities for travel are also a plus. Most of the time, colleagues are friendly and easy to work with.

Cons

There are multiple layers of management (expected for a large corporation), that slow down communication across the organization. Reorganization also seems to be a common theme throughout various areas of the company, thus lowering morale. Employee turnover is moderate. Salaries don't seem to be as high as other companies and the ways to advance your career or get promoted are not clear.

Advice to Senior Management

Improve communication within the organization and streamline management. Empowering employees to make more decisions will make individual contributors, project teams, and the organization more effective.
