Boston Scientific Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Maple Grove, MN:   (Current Employee)

Pros

A good place to meet people in the medical device industry for networking. Not a bad place to start your career, if you can put up with the incompetence of management - at least in the areas of Manufacturing Engineering and Operations.

Cons

Incompetent management. Managers here are promoted too quickly, before they have any real experience. The criteria for promotions is unclear, other than "who you know". Hard work and competency does not get you ahead in this company. Therefore most people leave the company or get asked to leave within 5 years or so. Morale is very low. Innovation is severely lacking. And quality systems are a major weakness here.

Advice to Senior Management

Senior management hear doesn't listen to advice, to be honest.
