Headed in the wrong direction for too long

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Arden Hills, MN

I worked at Boston Scientific full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

There are still some interesting technologies to be a part of that impact patients in very positive ways but the red tape and poor direction at this company are difficult to overcome.

    Cons

Shrinking benefits, multiple RIFs, and annual re-organizations make this a company to avoid

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to operate the companies you purchase and pick a long term strategy that you plan to follow long term. If you continue changing direction and reorganizing then you will never get anywhere as a company.

    Cons

    Morale of employees
    Upper Management disengagement
"Lean Team" which did not understand the concept of lean or the flow of the areas.
Forcing mandatory OT on short notice which ended up happening on holiday weekends and over holiday break.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Add resources, treat people fairly and actually listen to their subordinates.
