Pros

The benefits are amazing. BU will help with employee tuition costs from day 1 of working full time and will help with family after some time commitment to BU has been met.

Cons

There is some tension between different groups if employees that doesn't necessariliy play out well. This primarily shows itself between groups having different levels of educations necessary for the position held.

Advice to Management

Increased transparency would help. Keeping some people in the dark while others are in the know isn't beneficial as a whole.

    Pros

Great synergy among the world-class scientists, engineers, and physicians at the university. Amazing and continuously evolving research and development facilities, strong commitment to technology development, entrepreneurial endeavors, and cross-discipline collaborations.

    Cons

More effort needs to be placed in hiring and positioning permanent high quality lecturers and teaching professors for undergraduate and graduate classes to replace the mediocre and poor quality teaching that still exists in some programs.

  2. It's who you know not what you know...

    Pros

Free tuition makes it worth the hassle

    Cons

Unqualified "friend-of-a-friend" and political appointees get the jobs and promotions.
