    Pros

Helping the community. Connecting with children. Helping underprivileged kids. What is not to like about that. Every day I would get home and feel accomplished with myself.

    Cons

Some of the other counselors were obviously just there for the money. It is hard to work with someone who does not put in 100%. Personal was also spread thin.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try and find more counselors per kid.

The kids are great. The supervisors...not so much.

    Pros

The kids are awesome. They will change your life. It is inspiring to see how they persevere through such difficult home lives. All you'll want to do is help them.

    Cons

The pay sucks. Some of the programs we have to run are lame. Sometimes the supervisors forget what it's like to be a part-time staff. Try to require too much out of you but pay doesn't match up to job responsibilities.
