“Strenuous work!”
Current Employee – been working at Boys & Girls Clubs
Pros – The opportunity to mentor children and change lives is priceless!
Cons – Management and administrative decisions are last-minute and strenuous on the staff! Be prepared to give up multiple weekends for obligated 'volunteer work'. Children to staff ratio is 50:1.
Advice to Senior Management – Allow innovative changes to take place within the organization. Strive to provide funds for outstanding programs. Communicate important news as often as possible, so as to not place strenuous last-minute crisis on staff that already work with 100+ children.
