Former Employee - Maintenance in Tuttle, OK

I worked at Braum's full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Stable company. Not going to be sold or closed down. The job is challenging and constantly changing from day to day.

Cons

Braum's considers maintenance as a necessary evil. The work shop is too small for area needed. Tools assigned are too few. Starting salary is fine for inexperience technicians but too low for experienced. The plant is a high stress atmosphere with a few production supervisors that acts like a child when things breaks and things always do. Age for technicians needs to be 25-50.

I have been working at Braum's full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Although Braum's has a higher wage scale then most fast food restaurants, the cons outweigh the pros. They also promise to have a positive training program to promote optimum customer satisfaction, however, the failure of management to promote /adhere to co. guidelines and pass their failures on to the staff is discouraging and often results in less sales and customer dissatisfaction.

    Cons

failed operations due to poor management at local levels
lack of respect from management team
lack of support for team from management
    don't follow national break guidelines
management pulls double standards from all aspects of delegation
    management shows gender bias

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to promote positive outlook and management of teams, team spirit among workers, and discourage gossip and degradation among all levels.
