I have been working at Bridgepoint Education

Pros

Cafeteria on-site
Gym on-site
Clean bathrooms
Full package of dental, vision, and healthcare benefits

Cons

A lot of management have no clue what's going on with the employees in their department. They're busy running off from meeting to meeting instead of checking in on their employees' productivity and mentoring them in the right direction.

A lot of co-workers are conniving and don't teach you everything you need to know because they are insecure about losing their job. Most of management are really incompetent. they only got lucky to be promoted because the company grew so fast

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Higher salaries, recognize who is working hard vs. workers who are hardly working and just chit chattin with their friends.

    I worked at Bridgepoint Education

    Pros

Bridgepoint Education, Ashford University and University of the Rockies has great benefits, $401k, stock options, tuition remission family oriented events and parties, and there isnt much mico managing.

    Cons

There inst really any job security. depending on what department you are your managers can be conniving and manipulative. it is hard to move up when you work hard and don't try to sabotage others to get there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really listen to your staff and take their concerns and or suggestions into consideration and try to implement when they stress that it is important.

I have been working at Bridgepoint Education

    Pros

Education is viewed as very important within the company. The programs that are offered are plentiful, and accredited through the higher learning commission.

    Cons

Sales type environment to get students into school. Pay increases are not what they used to be. Different verticals make it challenging to get students. Compensation does not compare to market standards.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leadership programs are plentiful, because the organization is growing so quickly. Areas of advancement present themselves, as long as you are an expert in your current position. Most people start off in sales, and shift from there.
