I have been working at Bridgepoint Education

Pros

As a swiftly growing company , there are plenty of opportunities to experiment and be involved. For people who do not favor the traditional office environment, this company will be a refuge. while not quite as free as say a Google.. it does pride itself on being happy, casual and down to earth.

Cons

The company was not prepared for it's swift growth. systems are in place that worked well enough for a few years ago, but are barely holding up under the pressures of the current volume.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not going to suggest a thing.

I worked at Bridgepoint Education full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

-Good benefits ( PTO, health, Sick days)
-Great training (two weeks, very thorough)
    -Modern office building centrally located

    Cons

-controversial product (a lot of students only enroll to get federal student loan stipend money)
-lost accreditation (may have regained since I last worked there)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A lot of the management really had no clue how to manage a team. They were just standout in sales or buddy buddy with upper management.

I have been working at Bridgepoint Education full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Incredible people - the reason to stay for many. Decent salary and perks if you get them. Good vacation/sick day allowance. Onsite parking.

    Cons

Insecurity breeds an unhealthy corporate culture which is only exacerbated by reductions in force. Onsite benefits reduced since my initial hire.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have good people in some areas telling you what needs done - take a moment to listen to what they're sharing with you and trust in their expertise and previous experience.
