good HR support, friendly people, prestigious place

College Intern (Former Employee) Boston, MA

Prosfriendly manager/upper manager
HR training programs
good benefits
I like my internship experience, with all employee orientation, workshops, community service days incorporated. It was a fairly relaxed environment and was not as stressful as I imagined a hospital to be. My work hours were a typical 8-5 pm, 40 hour week. Manager was understanding, but was busy and did not give us interns too much work and project. Work was not as challenging as imagined as an intern, but they do want to help and mentor you.

Conswork may get monotonous
hard to advance

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Deceptive lower management

Medical Assistant II Orthopedic Surgery (Former Employee) Boston, MA

I worked at Brigham and Women's Hospital full-time for more than 3 years

Pros: Peers: Good people do work there. Good benefits. Busy. Cons: Lower management:bureaucratic, deceptive and very manipulative. Department managers, coordinators and supervisors collaborated with each other to cover each other, 3-4 day shifts, constantly leaving early.… Advice to Senior Management: Keep closer look on your LOWER management. No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More

Pros: Dealing with real people (patients); good skills training; beautiful building,… Cons: office politics; indifferent supervisors, doctors with elitous attitudes, unfair practices. Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More
