I have been working at Brigham and Women's Hospital

    Pros

Overall had a great experience with the people and the position. Great facilities to work in, and management was great.

    Cons

The pay and ability to move up in a research setting is SERIOUSLY lacking. Surrounding hospitals pay much more for RA positions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Overall, I would advise management to be more focused on their lower level players and less focus on top execs.

BWH is not an accommodating Employer if you are a PhD with interests in translational medicine

I have been working at Brigham and Women's Hospital

    Pros

As a PhD working that is working in this hospital as a researcher I find that the labs are exceptionally well equiped, the research is state of the art.

    Cons

Performing transplational research as a PhD and looking for personal career development and growth is almost impossible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Female faculty lack support when they have to balance work with family responsibilities. It would be nice to have an opportunity to seek Hospital's support for female faculty.
