I worked at Bright House Networks full-time for less than a year

Pros

Great atmosphere and great equipment. Some improvement in innovation and trying new techniques.

Cons

Some micro-management issues and poor choices in promotion to management. Unnecessary and sometimes obstructive techniques in personnel production evaluation.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stimulate innovation not stifle it and get a handle on employee dissatisfaction to improve churn rate.

Great Company but Management Used "That a Boy" System

I worked at Bright House Networks

    Pros

Ability to move up in company, decent benefits dental/medical/VSP 401k including free cable/internet, good communication from immediate Team Supervisor of what is needed for improvement, Team Supervisor also acknowledges when a job is well done.

    Cons

Upper management is a tight knit, fowl mouthed, constantly smoking, pack. The more they like you personally the further you will move in the company. They welcome "ass kissers" and people whom to delegate to. Have been in same position for 20yrs and has not been trained in current cable/internet/telephony technologies. Very negative bunch that ruins a great company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Replace upper management with new, positive, and ethical people. The actions of management casts a dark cloud over menial employees who notice "insider" promotion system.

Bright House USED to be a great place to work but there are no opportunities to grow in certain areas.

I have been working at Bright House Networks

    Pros

The best reason to work at Bright House are there Health benefits, 401K and cable benefits.

    Cons

There are no opportunity for growth and minimal merit increases.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management staff at Bright House should care more about their employees. They just ask front line employees how they feel about new changes.

    No opinion of CEO
