I have been working at Bright House Networks full-time (less than an year)

Pros

Free/highly discounted cable/phone/internet is always a perk. Supervisors don't breathe down your neck about your stats. You're given a very wide berth in how to help customers (credits, etc).

Cons

Can't think of any, at least at my level.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work.

A great company focused on their customers, but perhaps overlooking their technician staff.

I worked at Bright House Networks full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Bright House Networks compensates their technicians well, with free internet and cable services, annual raises, annual Family Fun nights, as well as generous raises for each promotion. Bright House Networks technicians are issued all tools and equipment by the company, and are also issued vehicles that BHN pays to maintain and fuel. Most technician managers push for their technicians to continue education in the telecommunications field and assist technicians in earning promotions.

    Cons

Bright House Networks installers/technicians are the lowest men on the totem pole as far as being respected by the company. Any issues with the services that arise, or any downturn in production numbers are blamed on the technicians. Technicians are constantly being expected to accept more and more responsibilities, learn how to troubleshoot new equipment without proper training, and above all else make sure that the customer is taken care of (even though management expects technicians to meet a quota of jobs per day).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bright House Networks needs to listen to customer input as far as how to improve their services (enable customers to transfer information from one dvr to another, format the recorded shows/series with a folder system instead of listing every individual show, etc), and need to perfect the support and troubleshooting for existing services before introducing the next available services (examples - Whole House DVR, 3D TV services, Home Networking services).
