Pros

I don't have any pros for this company

Cons

Not easy to move around the company, The broadcast and encourage moving around within
the company but it is not easy at all. The wages are really low for all the work that their cable techs do.

I worked at Bright House Networks full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, Great people to work with

    Cons

No career advancement if you arent a extreme superstar or brown nose. Upper management doesnt listen to the voices of middle management. Too much focus on what management thinks the customer wants and not enough focus on what the customer's need. No real concern about keeping employees happy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please listen to the voices of your frontline staff before bright house is no more. Time Warner is always connected and will absorb the company if its in their best interest.

I worked at Bright House Networks full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Was paid well (somewhat) as the top salesman. Free cable and benefits.

    Cons

No recognition for top performers, commission chargebacks for reasons not in our control, low base pay, low pay in comparison to other cable companies, commission structure changes constantly (lower) Also, be prepared to be overlooked for promotions especially if you are qualified completely, only to be passed over by external candidates. Why the heck would the company encourage internal employees to apply for other positions, when they hire outside most of the time?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

How about you recognize your top sales people? Some appreciation would be nice, as this position (direct sales) is probably the hardest position to fill, as it is hard to find someone who can consistently put numbers on the board, and handle rejection, and willing to walk outside under the elements (summer 100 degree weather?) Also, if employees catch wind of what other companies are paying for the same work, then say bye to your best salesmen. Chargebacks are a joke, why would we do the work, sell a customer in the heat, and get paid commission, only to have it taken away fully because the customer didnt pay their bill? our fault? not exactly. This company is a joke.
