I worked at BrightStar Care part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    None that come to mind...

    Cons

Rude management, horrible pay, crappy hours, gas mileage reimbursement sucks...overall bad company...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try making what we make and living off of it...you have no clue how hard we work for the little pay you feel we deserve...you charge $18 or more per hour to the client and only give us $8 when we do all the work, you charge .57 cents per mile to the client for gas but only pay us .32 of it and keep the rest for your self and we use our cars and our gas and you get gas money from clients and you never have to drive. We drive our cars and use our gas so we should get the full .57 cents per mile. You guys talk to us like we are losers...

Current Employee - Staff Nurse (RN), Home Care in Lake Mary, FL

I have been working at BrightStar Care as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Flexible hours. Wide variety of patients over a large territory

    Cons

No benefits--advertised benefits are only available to full or part time employees----which they are not hiring!!! Working as a Nurse for 60+ hours/week and travelling over 300 miles nets less than $600./wk

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow thru with promises--You get what you pay for!!!!Expect to pay for quality if that's what you really want---otherwise expect patient/family complaints.
