Bristol-Myers Squibb – “BMS is a fine place to work (if you like New Jersey)”
1 of 1 people found this helpfulPros
Kind, competent, engaged colleagues who in general tend to have respect for work/life balance; compensation and benefits are about par for the industry; good cafeteria (but price increases are making it less and less affordable); on-site daycare and drycleaning
Cons
Living in NJ with its high taxes and cost of living really eats into your compensation; on-site credit union is a joke in terms of the rates offered; too many ex-sales reps in marketing perpetuate the dying sales model of big pharma (still too much emphasis on carrying a bag); tightening of budgets has lead to more bureacracy and red tape so they talk about being nimble but you are hamstrung in actual decision-making waiting for countless approvals
Advice to Senior Management
Keep cutting low value employees without cutting benefits, raise dividend, continue highly selective acquisitions
