Former Employee - Account Manager
Former Employee - Account Manager

I worked at British Airways full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

- Internationally known & respected airline
- Flight benefits
- Strong training programs for young professionals (Commercial Induction Development Program in US; Graduate Scheme in UK)

Cons

- Reorganizations
- Can be tough to use flight benefits (especially when not based in UK) and more limited use than other airlines
- Coordinating business with joint venture alliance partners is a challenge
- Seemingly low ceiling for career advancement

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to invest in new talent, and develop the employees you have to retain them. Facilitate head office experience and career progression for professionals that you have invested in. Communicate changes to ease transitions (during reorgs, partner integration, etc.)
