    Pros

    Wide market coverage so not all eggs in one basket if one industry sector has a down turn.
    Work is stable no talks of layoffs

    Cons

    long work hours make it hard to balance work/life
    No vacation, you need to request time off and anything over 2 weeks needs VP approval

    support your employees better and spread the wealth more

    I have been working at Broadcom full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Good engineering team in general

    Cons

    After so many years company like start up : CRAZY work load, no good top management and very average compensation. Broadcom recently started to hired too many managers which are incompetent and should NOT managed talented and skilled people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop current vacation policy, start to increase compensation : we are loosing too many GOOD people and we can't attract talented people any more.
