Former Employee – worked at Broadridge
Pros – - The associates. Team work is the only way to survive.
- The restricted stock units for those who get them. It's a nice shot in the bank account without having to wait for the "bonus"
Cons – - Systems Sr. Mgmt. Most of them are not IT people but are running an IT organization. Everything the do it theory or based on buzz words.
- Sr. Mgmt does not want to innovate. They want boiler plate. Everything has to fit into the same mold because they cannot handle exceptions.
- NO chance for advancement.
- NO work life balance. Unless you consider a 6 day work week balanced.
- NO trust.
- NO recognition.
- Cheap.
Advice to Senior Management – Promote from within instead of hiring management from outside. All the UBS people want to do is turn it into UBS East. My experience with the almost 10 UBS hires within the last year is that they do not want to understand what is being done or why. They "know" what works and want everyone to bend to what they "know". Question. If UBS is so great why are they laying everyone off and off-shoring almost all work?
Advice to those I left behind.
Leave! You can't believe what great opportunities await you.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
