I worked at Brown Mackie College full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Good pay, fun environment, lots of locations

Cons

Management at campus level made things extremely stressful times, not a great work-life balance, lots of turn-over

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure you are hiring the right candidate for the position. I went through 5 Directors for the year and a half I was there. There was a lot of turnover as well.

I have been working at Brown Mackie College as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Enjoy the students for the most but many don't want to do the work

    Cons

Evaluate everything you do, add extra work not related to the class or teaching that instructors have to do. Make instructors do twice the work for less pay than working at non profit schools

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't add requirements that for instructors that don't have to do with the class

I worked at Brown Mackie College full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Admissions starts at $40,000 -and no college degree is required to have the job.

    Cons

It isn't about education. It is a 4-Profit Corporation that doesn't care about the product or the unfortunates people who find themselves enrolled. With respect to being an employee, they micro manage you to death. Everyday several times a day "Enroll more students!" - Admissions doesn't even talk about the academics - they are salesmen for EDMC. Constant pressure, nagging and non-stp harassment!. You live by a time clock and even breaks are bathroom breaks are scheduled. Management has no respect for subordinates and shows extreme favoritism. The employee turn-over is sky high because it is simply a miserable place to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Lighten-up.
