I have been working at Brown Printing

Pros

Steady pay, ok benefits, regular hours

Cons

Incompetent management, at all levels.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managment should take some responsibility for some poor decisions made, in the so called transformation.

    I worked at Brown Printing

    Pros

Pay, good at working with you if you have outside issues

    Cons

Long hours, inconsistent work, management constantly changing. Every year they are restructuring. A lot of wasted money in useless projects. No Raises/bonuses for 2010. Management too worried about protecting their own jobs so they fail to communicate/share information. They also don't take any responsibility for mistakes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Regressing back 20 yrs in management techniques is not going to help an industry that is hurting. General labor is just as worried about their jobs as you are.

I have been working at Brown Printing for more than 8 years

    Pros

The people that work for BPC, the ones making the magazines on the floor are some of the hardest workers I have ever known. Good people doing good work.

    Cons

Human in a race with a machine to get magazines made and shipped out

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

give your employees more pay, turn down the machine to get a better product out to your customers. Secure jobs for those that have gotten injured at work.
