I worked at Brown & Brown Insurance full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The ability to work remotely when needed.
The opportunity to meet some wonderful people.

    Cons

    Where to begin?

I started with the company in 2006 and at that time it was a great place to work, initially. It didnt take long to see the "high school" groups that existed and the fact that some could get away with murder and waltz around bullying others. The way people were treated and disregarded in this company was horrifying. I have worked in the corporate world for a long time and never in my life I have i seen an office run the way it is.

Schemers and liars are rewarded while the ones working so hard are treated like garbage.

The management staff is a joke, producers come in through a revolving door.

It is all about the revenue and screw the people, THAT should be the CHEETAH motto.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

FIRE your management and start clean, you have about a handful of decent employees left because evereyone is GONE or LEAVING. Stop rewarding conniving disgusting people and focus on real people.

Florham Park office has gone from very good (8 years ago) to absolutely awful (present)

I have been working at Brown & Brown Insurance full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Have met a lot of very talented people there and have learned as well as shared knowledge which has helped the company grow.

    Cons

The last year and the management style which was brought in "to change things around" or "clean house". Whatever it was, or is suppose to be, it is working. People are unhappy and they are leaving on their own accord. That is if the management team isn't figuring out a way to screw them out of bonuses and keep the $$'s for themselves. An awful pair of 30 some things are running the place now. (And that is not to say all 30 some things are awful whatsoever.)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please get rig of the two "in charge" before we all end up leaving. PLEASE - the toxic environment is getting the best of those still here.
