Former Employee - Cashier in Saint Paul, MN

I worked at Bruegger's part-time (less than an year)

Pros

Easy job
Tasty perks
Clean workplace
Mostly friendly customers

Cons

Management seemed to shift a *lot*
Important rules not always followed
Gloves provided are insufficient
Opening shift can be rough

The store cycled through three decent managers before deciding on a fourth. Unfortunately I could not continue working for this individual.

Upper Management: I hope you listen and look into it when the staff tells you about abusive, dangerous, unsanitary, and crude behavior by one of your employees

I have been working at Bruegger's full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

One "pro" of working for this company is the fact that you get free food and are in charge of making your own schedule.

    Cons

They expect you to do paperwork, make bagels, make sandwiches, and be on the register with no breaks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't consider this a permanent job.

I have been working at Bruegger's part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great food, nice atmosphere, sort of decent schedule flexibility. It's an alright medium-pressure job good for those just getting into the job market. They try to work your hours around your schooling.

    Cons

No organization (especially regarding training), high turnover rate (even with the management), high food prices. Although their flexibility with schedules can be nice, sometimes it veers into a frustrating inconsistency (especially during non-school times).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work to be more organized and actually care about your employees.
