Current Employee - Attorney, 2nd-Year in Pittsburgh, PA

I have been working at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney

    Pros

Buchanan is great for early experience; a good spot for "hungry" young attorneys. Lifestyle is important, and the firm supports a work/life balance.

    Cons

Pay is lower than other large Pittsburgh firms. Additionally, the training is less than satisfactory. At times, it can be difficult to acheive hours and the firm really expects young attorneys to find work from partners.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More education; more feedback; adjust pay to match others. Also, the firm should incorporate more training and encourage practice area development.
