Pros

You're largely left to your own devices, so if you appreciate independence and freedom those are good reasons to work here. The schedule is flexible as long as you make your deadlines, although you are constrained by studio time and when it is open. The general manager is competent and appreciates feedback.

Cons

There is absolutely zero job security. You could be let go without warning. This is probably just a sign of the times, as radio is really getting clobbered in this economy, but thats not much consolation if you're trying to pay bills. It seems like they don't look internally for promotions but always seek outsiders.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more communicative. A lot of people are left in the dark and don't know about major changes; don't just assume that news will make its way through the grapevine. Even if it's in the form of a memo it would help.

    Close access to management.
Mary Lou Gunn as General Manager
    Decent equipment.
    Danny Hill in the building.

    Cons

The company appears to be selling all its radio stations.
    Pay could be better.
    Too few resources.
The sales department can get a little attitudinal sometimes

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a way to sell the stations to good companies.
Invest in more personnel resources. Too few people are doing too much work. People are getting burned out.
