I have been working at Buffalo Wild Wings full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

you get to have fun while you work, the atmosphere is great. there is great opportunity for advancement. you can become a wing certified trainer and go to other stores that are opening all across canada and train new employees. the training is unlike any other place i've ever worked, it was a 2 week long hands on training session, you get to taste and familiarize yourself with the menu and learn all of the specifications you need to know in a very fun atmosphere.

Cons

there will always be cons to every job especially when it comes to fellow employees , but thats not really the companies fault. there seems to be a lot of favoritism in this particular store. this usually isnt so bad but the employees that are favored are not the good workers.

Advice to Management

look at the little people, the ones who do there job. they are the hard workers, not the ones who stand around and chat with you all day.

    Pros

The fact that it is a sports bar means it has a fast-paced, exciting track, but also has a somewhat laid-back feel to the workplace. I was fortunate enough to have managers who cared about their employees more than anything else and made that very clear.

    Cons

Pay begins low and won't change until the employee not only shows initiative, but also hounds management about raises. Tends to be a bit dramatic, a la, restaurant scene.

    Advice to Management

Management at all levels should be more concerned with workplace morale and atmosphere than red tape and policies that may save a nickel and dime here and there but cause unnecessary stress on employees.

  2. There is a lot expected and you get no management backing with interrelations.

    Pros

Repetitive duties; primarily portioning pre-made foods.

    Cons

Scheduling issues, inconsistant hours, hr, no promotion.

    Advice to Management

Try to be more human. Take charge and pay attention to the things that really matter.
