Pros

When the hours were available, you could get them. If you needed time off they were understanding. The management was friendly and compassionate. If you are a student they work well around schedules. The job itself was decent.

Cons

During the down season there weren't a lot of hours. Terrible pay. Starts at minimum wage and the raises are few and small. Not much opportunity for promotion. Job CAN get stressful/

    Pros

If you are a student seeking a part time job or retiree or a full time emplyee seeking a minimal second job then its ok considering they will attempt to work around schedules.

    Cons

Minimum wage pay for those just starting in the workforce which does not compensate you for all the work that will be placed on you ie cash register, recovering your department and others! layway, merchandising, fixture moves. Hardly any room to advance to a higher position considering really the only thing you could become is a customer service supervisor which isn't for everybody. To become a manager you'd probably have to be there a great deal of time excepting very little pay! If then considering they will hire outside the company before they promote from within. Very tightly squeezed company whereas payroll is extremley small and few people are hired to work and cover various parts of the store! You will be asked to your part and many others! Don't get me worng the customer is at the heart of a retailers success but not so where they are allowed to act any kind of way and you cant assert yourself against how they act and believe cause they can be dead wrong! They aint God!! Thank God!! We have rules and regulations for a reason!

    Advice to Management

Get real with your employees and treat them like adults! Take things from there persepcetive and consult them sometimes you may be surprised. We are your most valuable asset! Thats why you should allow enough payroll for the hiring of sufficent staff!

  2. The company is very supportive of their employees

    Cons

Since a lot of depts work side by side there can be a lot of meetings
