    Pros

There were some nice hourly associates that really did their best with the circumstances they could. Store and facilities were in very poor shape, duct taped carpets, trash cans for recurring roof leaks unless you were lucky enough to get in a new building.

    Cons

The store structure was way too top heavy with having a regional operations manager, a regional HR manager, a regional merchandise trainer, a regional LP manager plus a regional VP, all of whom you would get different direction from. In our region there was some very unprofessional behavior between the regional VP and the regional ops manager who did not get along which even the hourly associates could pick up on. Unreasonable expectations for store standards trying to run a 100,000 sq ft building with only 35 associates. Very embarrassing facilities to run in older stores.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to be Macy's or Kohl's as that is not your customer base. Remember what made the company successful and go back to being a discount retailer like people expect. Stop being so condescending to your store management teams and do your job to support them.

    Pros

    I can think of none.

    Cons

Managers are unprofessional and poorly trained. Treat employees like dirt. Work on Sundays are mandatory. Not allowed to use the bathroom as needed. Constantly told that the team is doing horrible. Only allowed one 15 minute break during an 8 hour shift even if company policy says other wise. I walked out the day of this post and am never working/shopping/dropping in to use the bathroom in their stores for as long as i am still breathing. Stay away from store 559!

    Advice to Management

    Wake up!
