Former Employee - IT Manager in Eden Prairie, MN

I worked at C.H. Robinson Worldwide full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Company has an excellent compensation package and realizes the benefit, and cost, of IT. Solid Executive management and distributed business model works well.

    Cons

Continually runs understaffed. "Work/life balance" is just a phrase not a practice. Quick to adopt the latest and greatest methodologies and practices on the market without thoroughly vetting their benefit or impact

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Re-examine the ethics and morals that are driving management decisions. Are decisions being made the best for the company or for personal gain? What is the level of politics and "good ol' boy club" mentality within the organization and is it beneficial or detrimental?
