I have been working at C&A Industries full-time for more than a year

Pros

-Training program is second to none! The training department is, without question, the greatest strength of the company - specifically the Director and Trainer.
-Development of talent is a priority.
-OK base, but it's really more like a draw.
-Specialized divisions usually focus well on niches.
-Solid company.
-Great family engagement activities all year long.

Cons

-Way too much micromanagement. It felt like Office Space - "You have 8 bosses?"..."Eight!" (Actually only have 4...)
-Each one of those bosses tells you different things matter most - one says effort, another says production; this one says phone time, and this one says call volume; one boss is never there; and the others go back and forth between saying you need to have longer conversations and shorter ones.
-Senior and Middle Management have favorites and practically flaunt it.
-If you aren't making the company at least $80k above your salary a year you're gone.
-Bonus compensation/ commission structure is a convoluted mess.
-Insurance is terrible - the worst. Cost is average, but it covers the bare minimum.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get some idea of a cohesive message on what it means to be successful, and what needs to be done to succeed, or at least keep your job. I have had absolutely awesome co-workers who got fired even though they were successful, worked hard all day and were team players. And others that text and facebook all day and still keep their jobs.

I worked at C&A Industries full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Bonus potential is great, though the base is extremely low.
Promotions are based off how much $ you bring in which makes promoting rather easy.
    Beautiful office.

    Cons

Demanding work hours (50 is minimum, often you're working 55+
    Low base
People are promoted based on their sales numbers, not their leadership ability
    Micromanagement is huge
Extreme amounts of backstabbing and gossip
    Work loads are unrealistic

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Increase the work life balance
Promote leaders who don't harass others

I worked at C&A Industries full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Very good people and flexible schedule.

    Cons

Management isn't sure about the direction they want to go and everything is very political. More of a make things up as they go.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not do internships unless you plan to set students up for success and also come up with a direction instead of changing things all the time.
