Company has been a round for a long time and if you work hard, and am a self advocate you can advance into different roles.

    Pros

    Nothing positive to say here

    Cons

Revenues are going down and Layoffs are going to increase. Products making millions dont have roadmap and any development/Support anymore.

Most of the products are already offshored.

    Pros

Great people on the line to work with.

You can do almost any project, follow any idea - just so long as you don't spend money.

    Cons

    - Too many people, too far removed from the action, involved in every budget and spend decision. Why do items already in the budget require Finance approval to spend? Every day of delay is a direct cost of people salaries waiting, and an indirect opportunity cost of delay to market.

    - Governance is both too rigid and too loose. Difficult to tell if something is approved and therefore justified to spent money on. Too often management throws up their own hands in frustration saying 'just get it done' which does not help get anything done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop saying the company is innovative until you help un-seize the development engine from finance and governance. Product teams should not have to fight to keep the lights on for products we said we would maintain and innovate. Too much energy is lost treating every-day business as an exception.

Make technology more available that just to the EVPs, for example Google Glasses. If you want product teams to innovate they need to spend less time searching dumpsters for cast-offs instead have free access to the latest technology.

Make CA World available to more that just the marketing and senior execs. CA World used to be the place where customers and product teams network and collaborate.
