I worked at CAE full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Extremely interesting and complex product.
Opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience.
    Friendly, hard-working people.
    Paid overtime.

    Cons

CAE's history as a flight simulator manufacturing company still shows in its approach to management and processes. They try to put in place new S/W processes, but project delivery dates still drive priorities. There is a lot of rushing and panic to chase deadlines. Projects get started already behind schedule.
Waves of layoffs over the last few years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better communication and more employee motivation is needed. Employees are uneasy about layoffs, security is disappearing and morale suffers.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
