I have been working at CBRE

Pros

A lot of in-house training; not all of it relevant.
Respectful, professional environment.
Prestigious employer with well-recognized reputation.
A market leader in DC.

Cons

The bureaucracy and red tape make it difficult to deliver service to tenants and clients.
The size of the DC office is such that one must constantly network in order to stay noticed and compete for assignments and promotions. It's easy to get lost in the pack.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Perform better information sharing. Middle managers hold even the most minor information close to the vest as though the team is on a "need to know" or not qualified to understand.

I have been working at CBRE

    Pros

Time off and recognition for effort is awarded when earned. It's is a comfortable and professional place to work.

    Cons

The location and the time it takes to advance and/or promote in your career path.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some of the required training is not job specific and is to brood. Some of the training is time consuming and takes away from the time we have to devote to the client.
