Pros

Excellent company. Great co-workers. Fast-paced work environment. Excellent client base with great exposure to management. Outstanding research and data analysis tools. Interesting client engagement opportunities across multiple properties and multiple industries.

Cons

Very high pressure environment with sometimes unreasonable expectations for performance. Brokers can become fixated upon commissions and become territorial about clients. Limited growth potential due.

Advice to Management

Provide clear career path visibility for new hires.

    Pros

Respectful workplace, great training, health benefits, telecommute opportunities, newest technology, subscriptions to all market data, smart co-workers, bi-weekly pay, overall great

    Cons

Workers are limited in geographical territory due to large size of company

    Advice to Management

The best manager is one who can handle any issue without getting emotions involved. My manager at CBRE is so extremely professional and has made my experience at the company awesome.

    Pros

Good place to start your accounting career not in public accounting. Coworkers are decent and mostly helpful. Generous vacation (if your workload ever allows you to take it).

    Cons

Pay rates are well below industry average, heck even below the bottom 25%. High, high turnover. Poor training. Bottom of the barrel heath benefits. A 1.5% 401K match, again, well below average. Workload always increases, your pay does not.

    Advice to Management

Invest in proper compensation levels; then turnover won't be so high and people will stay for more than 1-2 years. Hire more accountants and coordinators or ask the do-nothing managers to help out with accounting work. They all seem to be the ones taking the longest vacations, the hour-long lunches, and then leaving at 4pm. Streamline the management structure. There are too many supervisors "managing" one or two accountants. If you pay people what they are worth, you might actually get qualified candidates and not have to fire people.
