    Pros

Loved being a Web Intern at CBS. Fast-paced great place to start out in the news business.

    Cons

News doesn't happen on your schedule. Not for those who can't handle odd hours during a big story.

  2. Impressive newscast, but unorganized behind the scenes

    Pros

CBS does a great job of recruiting reporters, anchors, directors and producers from a multitude of different markets, all very talented, which gives our station a unique and energetic work environment

    Cons

The senior members of all the departments are only in their position because of seniority, not because they are the most skilled, most talented or what have you. That being said, there are a few core deficiencies in the chain of command which is VERY evident behind the scenes of most every newscast. There are a select few people that work tirelessly to compensate for others lack of talent and interest in their job which makes our final product, the newscast, one of the best in the market.

    Advice to Management

Just because you've been at your job for ages does not mean that you can just stop caring & pawn your work off on others. Delegation is one thing, but leaving a mess for others to clean up is another. Take pride in your work. Every Day. The news never takes a day off.
