I have been working at CBS Radio full-time for more than a year

Pros

Better Product than competitors.
Better Structure.
Larger NTR opportunities which equates to more cash for Sales Reps.

Cons

Initiative Selling to the Core.
Lack of upper management in anything below a Tier 1 Market.
Aggressive Selling Structure sold as "key".

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some of the best radio stars were lost in the companies initiative to cut dollars in the last few years. Great managers were lost in mid and small markets which causes radio stations motivated sales people to churn and burn into a much more satisfying work/life balance opportunity.

Great work environment, not much room for growth

I worked at CBS Radio part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Work environment is great. Free food every week if you know the right places and the right people. Great that celebrities visit pretty often as well.

    Cons

There isn't much room to grow without having worked there for 10+ years. You really have to enjoy what you're doing there to get ahead

  2.

    Dying industry with lifeless co-workers

I have been working at CBS Radio full-time for less than a year

    Pros

CBS is a well known name. There are some pretty smart people who chose the wrong career path that can give you some insight.

    Cons

They promised training, nothing of the sort. You are at the bottom of the totem poll, there is no room for growth until one of the senior reps retires, or... The only real way to make money is with car dealerships and the senior reps have all of them. Starting pay is horrible with the amount of work that needs to be done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay better starting salaries, keep your promises. Telecommuting is OKAY
