I worked at CCC Information Services full-time for less than a year

Pros

I enjoyed the people I worked with. The hours were OK.

Cons

Absolute worst management ever. Worried about themselves ONLY. Buddy-buddy system in full effect. Most employees are completely disgusted with management but are afraid to say anything because, as the 21st-century saying now goes... "HR is not your friend"!

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Thankfully I left unlike some of the other people afraid to leave.

    Not so good. Depends on teams and managers a lot. Unfortunately for me, found a non-technical, hands off manager.

    I have been working at CCC Information Services full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Good pay (depends of candidate's bargaining power)
    Good/honest CEO
    Might get good manager/good work, depending on one's luck

    Cons

    Most managers are non-technical
    No proper project management strategies
    People seem to be too selfish
    Hard working techies are ignored - while people talk in meeting get recognized
    Employee recognition (peer nomination) system is very poor

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Being a software company, it's important each project has proper direction and guidelines, where a technical, hands on project manager makes big difference. Remove the non technical Directors and Project/Program managers, introduce technical project managers. Change the employee recognition system to identify real hardworking people. The current peer nomination system is very poor. Management, along with employees, should be able to find and award hard working individuals. Leaving that for peers (other employees) doesn't make sense - at present it's only being misused and being awarded to ineligible.
