Pros

Has the propensity to provide access to internal hiring for Siemens.

Cons

Healthcare benefits are astronomical. Lay-offs are conducted by telling the recipient that they are being laid off, and then asking them to clear out their desk; treating the recipient as if it was due to some sort of serious violation. Generally, contractors are not given any time to find other work. An often used phrase by contractors refering to their jobs is "second class citizens," unfortunately this is spot on. All contractors are given the most dreaded of work, and not given much responsibility. If you are looking for a job with Siemens, and are just trying to get your foot in the door, give it a run, as long as you are prepared to do a lot of grunt work to get there.

I have been working at CDI full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

nothing, easy to spell company name

    Cons

recruiters nightmare. Horrible management. High turnover. Direct Hire management is ridiculous. Put all their eggs in the Wells Fargo basket. Sales Vs. Recruiting at it's finest. Lots of finger pointing egged on by management. Document everything just in case environment. Cameras in office to spy on workers. Badge needed to access office and they monitor it to see who arrives late, leaves early etc.. Dead serious about that. Managers constantly checking in on your emails. Very insecure atmosphere. Everybody slowly becomes depressed. Meetings after meetings after meetings about meetings and so on and so on!

stay away from your employees if you add no value
